COI discussion

edit

I've noticed that one of the faculty of the institute appears to be editing the article. The edits don't seem disruptive or biased in any way, but that does not mean it is not a conflict of interest. LanHikari64 (talk) 17:01, 11 February 2020 (UTC)Reply

I have endeavoured to retain editorial neutrality with facts only. Further external correction andediting is welcome. James Leachman — Preceding unsigned comment added by James leachman (talkcontribs) 10:42, 12 February 2020 (UTC)Reply

COI and new material

edit

Fr. James Leachman is a fine British monk that added most of the material on this article in February of 2020. Sadly, he is recently deceased. The WP:COI was rightly placed on this article because Fr. Leachman was the co-director of the summer English language Liturgical Institute which is only partially related to the larger main institution (Pontifical Institute of Sacred Liturgy) located in Rome with year-long academic programs. He used the editing of this main article to promote his own summer program, as well as list actual members who even attended the program each summer in the UK. I will begin a process of trying to "balance" this article by providing a history of the Pontifical Institute based at Sant'Anselmo all'Aventino with the necessary relevant reliable source citations. I am inclined to REMOVE the list of people added by Fr. Leachman who actually attended his summer program as wikipedia is not a marketing platform. I would appreciate hearing from other editors before I do so. Regards! MonasticScribe (talk) 09:35, 1 September 2021 (UTC)Reply
