"Pongids gave rise to Hominina around seven mya." - That is wrong, and not supported by the source. There never was a group of Pongids which gave rise to Hominina; at best there was a group of Homininae giving rise to Hominini. Thank you, I am a science enthusiast and I am a teenager at highschool, they taught me this instead of hominidae, and I was annoyed that the teacher didn’t include humans as apes. I have showed her this, but I guess she didn’t care. Anyways, I don’t think it’s her fault tho considering the fact that she’s a teacher who’s been assigned a bunch of crappy stupid outdated facts, I blame it on the education system or whatever it is. 2405:201:F009:3A0C:82A:F915:96FE:C6F7 (talk) 16:14, 3 February 2022 (UTC)Reply
