Assertions in article

There are several statements in this article that do not make sense. Cocoate usually refers to salts or esters of coconut oil, which may contain lauric acid, so I don't think it's appropriate to say propylene glycol cocoate is "produced from lauric acid." Also, based on the name Propylene glycol cocoate, it shouldn't contain any polyethylene glycol, and PEG-8 certainly wouldn't be a synonym for it. -- Ed (Edgar181) 12:12, 27 December 2007 (UTC)

Not being a chemist myself, I am unable to comment on the derivation of this substance, however I have located and appended a couple of references to the article to support its content. I hope these assuage your concerns somewhat? I notice we also have a decent-looking article for propylene glycol, which may be of use in categorising this article.
