Talk:Politics of Senegal

In the main Senegal article, it says that it used to be 7 years but was ammended to 5 years in 2001.

Yeah, I´m on a project that researches the abilities of african constitutions based on their legislative funtions. Im going through the Senegalese constitution now and see no mention of parallel voting systems. In fact i find it clearly stated in Article 60 of their constitution that they have direct elections. This article say something commmmpleeeetelllyyyy wrong. However, I know if i fix this someone will call me a vandal and say I dont have sources. So instead ill just leave it up on the talk page until an admin comes around, sees what I wrote, verifies article 60 in the constitution and replaces the dubious claim of mixed polling. - Tony —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.19.137.225 (talk) 06:37, 9 August 2008 (UTC)Reply

Important notice edit

The government section of the "Outline of Senegal" needs to be checked, corrected, and completed -- especially the subsections for the government branches.

When the country outlines were created, temporary data (that matched most of the countries but not all) was used to speed up the process. Those countries for which the temporary data does not match must be replaced with the correct information.

Please check that this country's outline is not in error.
