editMy name is Shalini, I’m 27 year old who’s living with my parents.. so, my brother in law who’s got married to my sister came to my house once and fought with my parents for a very small reason.. so,I asked him to handover my jewelleries which I had kept at my sister’s house, as my father had a brain stroke and I didn’t have money to my hospital bill.. but my brother in law refused to handover my jewellery and spoke to me in a vulgar language over phone.. so I decided to suicide by writing a suicide note but unfortunately my parents saved me and then later on my brother in law called us and said he will be handing over the jewelleries through police station.. so, next day some inspector or someone from police station called Nataraj called me and said your sister has filled a complaint against you as you are going and fighting at her place.. I asked him what is the proof.. I never went to her house, she lives in an apartment where there are cctv cameras.. u can check.. but that person refused to listen to me and spoke to me in a very very rude manner.. I went to the police station.. none of them were ready to listen to me.. Mr Nataraj didn’t even let me open my mouth.. he was shouting at me whole time and nobody even bothered to ask me y did I attempt suicide and half of my jewelleries weren’t handed over to me.. and that person made us to sign on the paper where it was mentioned, I shalini will not go to my sister’s place hereafter.. the same person Nataraj asked me to file an FIR for the jewelleries with the valid bills.. so, I went to the same person(Nataraj) who asked me to file an FIR with bills after few days.. I told him sir I want to file an FIR, he spoke to me in a very disrespectful manner.. he said I’m not here to do all this.. if u want u go to their house and take it.. So, here wt am I trying to say is. If police speaks like this when we go to them for help.. where else should we go? Isn’t it their duty to solve our problems? Is it right to talk to a girl like that? Is it right to not to listen to my problem just bcz I didn’t pay him any money and the opposite party did?
