New Pokémon at the End?

In traditional pokémon style, I recall a new pokémon being shown, flying over the ocean at the end of the movie (After the storm calms). Any idea what it is? Mayhaps it's the shiny Ho-oh Ash sees in the first ever episode of the show? Or mayhaps I'm just imagining things. --68.114.18.100 03:34, 8 April 2007 (UTC)

Cast

Is it really necessary to have cast listed other then English and Japanese? It looks really cluttered and incomplete, along with the fact that I don't see any FA films with a full cast listing. SpigotMap 15:29, 27 August 2007 (UTC)

Error in the movie

While naming the multiple pokemon captured by Mewtwo, team rocket mistakes Scyther for Alakazam. I'm not sure if this is a error 100% team rocket are often shown as being ignorant. It should be noted that in no point does Alakazam appears in the scene involving the pokemon being captured by Mewtwo and that a real and clone Scyther can be seen doing battle. I think noting this like the polywhirl mistake in the pokemon 2000 article would be a nice addition. Yami (talk) 19:16, 17 June 2008 (UTC)

Many sources on the movie (if IMDB counts as a source) recognise that these were intentional mistakes. The writers made the mistake, then the producers' children pointed out the mistake but the producers decided to keep the mistakes in for the hardcore fans to spot. IMDb isn't a reliable source, so it can't be used as a reference, but Norman J. Grossfeld and Michael Haigney say in the DVD commentary that the Scyther/Alakazam mistake was, in fact, brought to their attention before the film's release, but they intentionally left it in (though I can't remember their reason why). Soundtrack vs Score

In the Soundtrack section, the little info box is giving information on the Score rather than the soundtrack, which is a little confusing. I don't have the soundtrack info, but maybe we can move the score box to its own section? MJuice (talk) 21:11, 15 February 2010 (UTC)

Slashing the Trivia section

First, per WP:TRIVIA (a part of the Manual of Style), trivia sections are strongly discouraged and should be considered temporary at best. The goal is to get this info into the rest of the prose, where possible. Similarly, WP:NOT states that Wikipedia is not a list of indiscriminate information, which this list had become. So I decided to significantly cut the list. For example, the mulitiple bullet points about the line about "Vikings" are all wholly unecessary--we don't need to list every different translation of every little fact. Second, a lot of this info was original research. For example, every bullet point that stated a Pokemon was misidentified is original research, unless a reliable secondary source has already stated it. Please remember that Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, not a fan-site, so we're not here to try and point out every "interesting fact" or "error" that exists in the movie--there are plenty of other sites on the internet where you can do that. I've left in only those items that aren't about subtle, in-universe topics, and that are at least potentially verifiable. Please resist the temptation to start re-populating this list with more "trivia," as doing so is a violation of policy and guidelines. Qwyrxian (talk) 23:46, 18 August 2010 (UTC)

Ho-oh? not at all

What's with everyone's assumtion that it is HO-oh that Ash sees, remember as I state above, mew can take on the shape of any pokemon it wants to, and ho-oh isn't introduced at all until the third or fourth season. How is it possible then for Ho-oh to actually be in the first episode? where do people get the idea that Ho-Oh appeared at all in the series before the Johto saga? That is a good theory, but just speculation. I am pretty sure that good sources say that Ho-Oh was the Pokemon seen in the first episode. In fact, at the end of the battle frontier saga, Ash sees Ho-oh again, and recounts the times he has seen it, which includes the first episode.(I think, don't kill me if I am wrong) _Blake ^{(Talk·Edits)} 14:12, 8 July 2011 (UTC)

Proposed merge with Pokémon: The First Movie (soundtrack)

The film's American soundtrack is not independently notable, no matter how the articles look. It was once redirect; somehow, someone else reverted it back. Then there have been minor tweaks. Re-merge? George Ho (talk) 03:24, 21 October 2014 (UTC)

Production companies

I'd like to return the production company back to what the original source I have listed as. Per the film infobox standards (which is what we are using for this article), we use the production companies for the film. "Isert the company or companies that produced the film. Separate multiple entries using {{Plainlist}}, and use the "production companies" parameter. In addition, link each company to its appropriate article if possible. When possible, this should be cited to reliable secondary sources that explicitly identify the production companies.". I've double checked these sources with the Variety. who back up the Galbraith source. As this is a film, and using the film infobox, I think we should follow that standards. They are very different. In the Japanese version, there was no storm legend, Mewtwo didn't want to destroy everything in the world, there were no anti-violence messages, or at least there weren't so many of them.
