Genera edit

Oh dear, another one of these unreferenced lists vomited up from an unknown source. Where did that list of genera come from? How authoritative is it? Is it complete? Does it contain errors? Does anybody have time to give it a thorough editing, and maybe add a few half-decent references? MrDarwin 17:14, 28 July 2006 (UTC)Reply

Bitter, are we? :-). Most of the hits in Google Scholar seemed to be from subscription-only journals (especially Aquatic Botany). Most of the articles seemed to be either about a particular species, about the placement in Malpighiales or a few about the internal classification of the family. I did switch to a regular internet search, and found some decent articles which included an introduction to the family, which I have now added to the article, but nothing as detailed as a list of genera. As for our list of genera, we could perhaps just delete it, unless we think someone is really going to turn any of those redlinks into decent articles, or even just use the list for reference.
