Second longest-running TV show in the world? edit

Play School's definitely not the second longest running TV show in the world. See Meet the Press, The Tonight Show, The Sky at Night etc. Dupont Circle 07:32, 14 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

Who says Playschool isn't balanced. edit

Did anyone see the episode that showed the playschool presenters making a dolls house: "and here's the father John, and the mother Janette, and their children Melanie, Tim and Richard". It's amazing what they can do with a straight face..

I'd love to see that up on YouTube..

I saw that one, and then on the next Media Watch they pointed it out. Tinkstar1985 08:52, 27 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

Toys edit

What about the doll named Hamble/Hambelle (not sure how to spell it)? She was definitely on the show. — Emiellaiendiay 01:59, 29 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

Songs edit

Songs were integral to Play School and I started a section on here about the songs. Do you think we can add to it, a lot of the songs were actually original and some were covers. Katana Geldar 09:12, 27 April 2009 (UTC)\Reply

I am certain that they had the song "I'm going places in my new shoelaces" but the only place on the internet I found it is here: (Its not very good) https://soundcloud.com/user6211253/im-going-places-with-my-new-shoe-laces Koanarec (talk) 11:32, 10 May 2019 (UTC)Reply

"Funny Video" section edit

I'm removing the section that's only there to make reference to a clip shown on Australia's Funniest Home Videos because it has no relevance to this article unless someone can explain why it needs to be there.--NJM2010 (talk) 06:07, 10 April 2010 (UTC)Reply

Merge from edit

There's a Bear in There is a stand-alone article that fails several required criteria, including references and notability. It, and probably many of the other album articles, should be merged into this one. 69.181.249.92 (talk) 21:38, 25 August 2010 (UTC)Reply

Proof the series is recorded with 5.1 surround sound equipment? edit

I've noticed on many articles on Australian television programs users have been adding the line "Dolby Digital 5.1" into infoboxes under Audio format. I'm not even sure if many of these users who add this even know what this means, that is the "5.1" refers to 5.1 surround sound. Since neither ABC1 nor ABC2 use Dolby Digital audio, the infoxbox should just state "Stereo", unless there are sources that say Play School is recorded with 5.1 surround sound, but can only be broadcast in stereo due to the fact neither of the two channels that air the show are 5.1 capable.NJM2010 (talk) 10:10, 12 September 2011 (UTC)Reply

Play School in the United Kingdom edit

In my country (the United Kingdom) there was a children's programme called "Play School", described as a programme for children under five. Should not this article have a caption at the top saying "Not to be confused with Play School shown on British television, or else a tag saying "For the British television series, see "Play School (UK TV series)"?Vorbee (talk) 10:01, 4 August 2017 (UTC)Reply
