Advert? edit

Although it tries to sound unbiased, I'm concerned that the article still is too much of a product promotional page. For example, if this article was about the material itself, the fact that it was made of non-GMO cornstarch is irrelevant - cornstarch from GMO and non-GMO crops are chemically identical. A particular manufacturer may only use non-GMO material, but there is nothing intrinsic about the material which would require non-GMO feedstocks. Additionally, some phrases (e.g. "made the move from lab to commercial use ..." ) sound like they were lifted directly from an advertising brochure. -- 128.104.112.85 (talk) 22:15, 1 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

Transparent Materials? edit

Plastarch is not a transparent material, so should it really be included in the category "Transparent materials"? -- David.theman193 (talk) 23:09, 11 December 2008 (UTC)Reply

Thermoplastic Starch edit

Perhaps this article needs to be renamed to "Thermoplastic Starch", as this is the common name for this material. "Plastarch material" is more likely to refer to a specific company's thermoplastic starch product. -- David.theman193 (talk) 23:28, 11 December 2008 (UTC)Reply
