To respond to the previous comment, I think it's notable/popular enough that I, as a regular but not fanatical user of the intarweb, found it without looking for it or things like it. That is, many sites had a link to it, so I looked at it. Does this make it notable? I don't know. Just saying that it is at least well-known/linked. EDIT: Ten seconds later, I glance at the sources for the article and find reviews there. Doesn't that make it notable? Many reviews? I'm sort of new to wikipedia as a member so correct me if I'm wrong.- (Ninsaneja 18:32, 5 March 2007 (UTC))

Notability also comes from the reference stated in the article, specifically Gail Simone

General notability is not judged by Wikipedia editors directly. The inclusion of topics on Wikipedia is a reflection of whether those topics have been included in reliable published works. Other authors, scholars, or journalists have decided whether to give attention to a topic, and in their expertise have researched and checked the information about it. Thus, the primary notability criterion is a way to determine whether "the world" has judged a topic to be notable. This is unrelated to whether a Wikipedia editor personally finds the subject remarkable or worthy.

In this case Gail Simone is an author in the comics industry. From the article about her: Gail Simone is an American writer of comic books. She is the current writer of DC's Birds of Prey series.

While notability now seems established it should be noted that user:The wub wiped the free comics category. Thankfully this act of baseless vandalism was reverted but more should be expected by rampaging deletionists. I used to wonder what kind of people would burn down the library of Alexandria but now I find them in our times. --13:29, 21 April 2007 (UTC)

I'm afraid to say he was right: the disclaimer of that category is "think Free as in speech, not Free as in beer". Basically, "free" refers to the license, and very few webcomics use a free license. In this case, Planet Karen's license is "All word and images Copyright © Karen Ellis 2006." So, basically "all rights reserved"; not that it's a problem - on the contrary, it's quite normal. Stopped Updating in 2009

Should a mention be made of the present hiatus? It's been a long while since any comics have been posted, and almost a year and a half since it's been regularly updated.
