References for this article

I just visited Wikipedia:WikiProject Mountains. In their Resources section, they list the following:

  • Peaklist.org Exhaustive lists of peaks with a minimum prominence, including all mountains in the world with > 1500 m prominence
Pizzo Coca appears in this list under its Italian name, Pizzo di Coca, with a rank number 36 and listed at 3050 meters but its prominence is 1878 meters. I think that the prominence values disqualifies Pizzo Coca but would like another opinion. Please see:

Another resource listed by that WikiProject is:

Its URL on Pizzo di Coca is:

Peakware lists Pizzo Coca at 3050 meters.

I will introduce a References section and list these two URLs. --Morenooso (talk) 20:30, 11 May 2010 (UTC)

Usage of the Alps article for template

The article on the Alps will be relied upon to supply data for this article. Its indexed sections are common to many mountains in the appropriate wikiproject. --Morenooso (talk) 03:00, 12 May 2010 (UTC)

Intial article assessment

The Quality scale for this article is now substantial and above Start/Stub classed articles. But as per the C class, it is still missing important content such as climate data and political and cultural history per the Alps article sections. The article is now assessed: C, Low. --Morenooso (talk) 16:28, 12 May 2010 (UTC)

Alpine Brigade Orobica

I found some minor references to Alpine Brigade Orobica but nothing substantial that I could tie into Pizzo Coca. Supposedly, this WW II mountain group trained in this area. It would be interesting to find out more about them. The last part of their name, Orobica, is an alternate name for the Bergamo Alps or region from what I read and cited. I listed them as a See also. ----moreno oso (talk) 12:04, 20 May 2010 (UTC)

FYI - up for DYK nom

I nominated this article almost the same day it was created. Please be careful of what is change. I'd recommend adding to versus major changes. ----moreno oso (talk) 08:11, 21 May 2010 (UTC)

Archive set up

Being WP:BOLD, I set up an archive for this talkpage. It can be tweaked as needed after the first archive takes place. ----moreno oso (talk) 06:33, 25 May 2010 (UTC)
