Proposed merger edit

Oppose. I'm not sure Wikipedia should be taking sides in the PP's internal squabbles. It would be better simply to note that such squabbles exist on the main page, and then rename it when one faction emerges as the victor by actually standing a candidate. --IdiotSavant (talk) 23:21, 28 October 2009 (UTC)Reply

Approve The other Pirate_Party_New_Zealand page is a old one set up by the owner that no long has any input in the site --TheTosh 13:39 29 October 2009 (NZDT) —Preceding undated comment added 00:39, 29 October 2009 (UTC).Reply

Firstly, who "owns" the pirate party is irrelevant. Secondly, I suggest you check the history of Pirate Party New Zealand before making claims about authorship. Thirdly, as one of the people involved in these squabbles, you are in clear violation of WP:CONFLICT. We're trying to run an encyclopedia here, not a tool for your self-promotion.--IdiotSavant (talk) 00:56, 29 October 2009 (UTC)Reply
Support. Two months ago this seemed like an internal squabble; it is clear now that the Pirate Party has changed leadership and (more importantly) its name. --IdiotSavant (talk) 22:48, 24 December 2009 (UTC)Reply

You all are being Nazis, would you cut the bullshit and let users contribute something with out you packing a sad or a tanty.Everything i have ever done on Wikipedia (and it was in good faith) was removed and left with the incorrect rubbish —Preceding unsigned comment added by 118.92.125.210 (talk) 03:49, 11 December 2009 (UTC)Reply

Membership in PPI edit

PPNZ is now a member of PPI since the march 11-13 conference member list on PPI site. Conference minutes do not show PPNZ being admitted (which occured on the 12th), but do show on p2 that on the 13th PPNZ was a member entitled to vote. (COI) Pervach (talk) 11:02, 17 April 2011 (UTC)Reply

Can someone update the image/logo with this one:

Current Executive Board and party activity edit

I was looking for a source to support the list of names on the Executive Board. I couldn't find any list of names on their website. I also couldn't find a 2014 election, though there was an election in 2013. I also found an Exeuctive Report from 2015 (link) that appears to propose dissolving the Board. As such, I've tagged the Board members and their election with citation needed.

More generally, it would be great if we could find out if this party is genuinely still active. Hunting around their own website, I can't find any meetings (Board or otherwise) from after April 2015 (which was also the last update of their own wiki), their latest news item is from March 2015, there's no indication of membership size, their events page has no upcoming events. Even their Twitter feed hasn't been updated since April 2016 and it doesn't mention any party-specific activity. Does this party really still exist? Marking party as not operating edit

I've changed the article to past tense as the evidence doesn't support the party still operating:

  • The party's Twitter account has not posted since 2016
  • The party website's news page features no articles after 2015
  • Neither Stuff nor RNZ feature any articles mentioning the party since 2011.
  • The party has not contested a general election since 2011.

If someone can find evidence that the party remains active, please do revert these changes. HenryCrun15 (talk) 04:40, 13 August 2019 (UTC)Reply
