Can we equate Philanthropy and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)? edit
Some conspiracy theorists have questioned the synonymity of philanthropy and CSR. CSR is part of the capitalist agenda of "gift" to:
a. avoid income tax problems;
b. mask their profits (justifiable or unjustifiable);

May we compare the so-called philanthropy and/or CSR, which is accumulated through the extraction of surplus labour, with Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi's theory of trusteeship?
The term philanthropy is being used as an euphemism in order hide the underlying profit-motive. The CSR supplements philanthropy in the age of cyber-capitalism as well as surveillance capitalism (Cf. Discussions on the Politics of Gift). Akharbandyo (talk) 17:11, 30 March 2023 (UTC)
