Piper at the Gates of DawnPiper at the Gates of Dawn (disambiguation) – and redirect the current title to The Piper at the Gates of Dawn per WP:PRIMARYREDIRECT and "the general approach is that whatever readers might type in the search box, they are guided as swiftly as possible to the topic they might reasonably be expected to be looking for". Most people typing "Piper at the Gates of Dawn" would likely be seeking The Piper at the Gates of Dawn, the only actual article on the DAB page. —  AjaxSmack  00:58, 30 June 2018 (UTC)Reply

I have no position on this nomination myself.  AjaxSmack  00:58, 30 June 2018 (UTC)Reply

Dating DABs edit

Would it not be sensible for this - and other disambiguation pages (DABs) - to give the date (at least the year) of earliest use of each alternative meaning? Then the casual reader stumbling over this page would learn that Kenneth Grahame's book The Wind in the Willows, containing that seventh chapter, was first published in 1908, while the Pink Floyd album is six or seven decades younger.

Or, at least, let the DAB page state clearly which is the earliest use of its title. yoyo (talk) 09:05, 14 January 2021 (UTC)Reply
