UA ownership in the 1960s edit

Apparently at the time the first Pink Panther movie was released, UA wasn't yet owned by Transamerica, but wasn't yet owned by MGM either. It had no owner back then. Stein256 (talk) 17:50, 22 January 2018 (UTC)Reply

  • The first sentence is true, in that Transamerica didn't acquire UA until 1967, and then MGM purchased UA from Transamerica in 1981. As of 1964, UA was its own publicly traded corporation whose stock was traded on the New York Stock Exchange.
