My name is Andrea and I work for Pinger. There is a lot of out-dated/incorrect information on the page and it has no history section. I'd like to help improve the page following WP:COI. Below are updates/changes I'd like to request impartial editors consider:

1. Infobox
Infobox Diffs
industry=[[Texting]] and [[VoIP]]
+
industry=Smartphone apps
key_people = Greg Woock (CEO) Joe Sipher
+
key_people = Greg Woock (CEO) founders=Joe Sipher and Greg Woock
products = [[Textfree]], Sideline
+
products = [[Textfree]], Sideline, Index
brands = Textfree
+
logo = Pinger logo.png
+
Replace with logo on a transparent background: https://www.pinger.com/wp-content/uploads/elementor/thumbs/pinger_new-pfublsy1di7q0bawwejbn0wc4p4rzllos01bf8hgai.png
Explanation: Pinger has made games, appointment apps, and other apps that do not fall under the "texting and VoIP" industry description. Joe Sipher is a founder, but doesn't still work at Pinger, so I suggest moving him to Founders instead of Key People. The "Brands" parameter is redundant with the products parameter in that it lists TextFree a second time.

2. New History Section
Proposed History Section

History

Pinger was founded in 2005[1] by Greg Woock and Joe Sipher.[2] At first, the company created the Pinger Phone in 2008, which consolidated phone, email, and messaging contacts and communications.[1][3] The free texting features were converted into a separate iPhone app called Textfree.[1] Pinger was initially focused exclusively on mobile messaging, but started developing other smartphone apps after Apple released the iPhone software development kit (SDK).[1]

Explanation: The current page does not have a history section. This proposed new History section offers a starting point for a proper historical narrative.

3. Foundation date in the Lead
The company was founded in 2006 and is headquartered in San Jose, California.[citation needed]
+
The company is headquartered in San Jose, California.[citation needed]
Explanation: The current introduction mentions both 2005 and 2006 as the foundation date. The sentences are duplicative and only one is correct (its 2005[1]). I suggest removing the erroneous 2006 date and leaving the 2005 one up.

I have implemented 2 and 3. Thank you for the well-sourced information. I did not fully implement 1 for two reasons. First, Pinger currently makes only apps that deal with Texting and VoIP, so that is its industry. Additionally, I have seen no evidence in the provided sources that Pinger ever made apps not dealing with one of those two core functions. Second, I would prefer someone at Pinger upload the Pinger logo upload it to the Commons rather than linking out to the logo file or taking it from Pinger's site myself since the user making the request may lack the authority to grant a license.
