Merger vs. Annexation?
editIt appears Pine Hill annexed Pine Valley.
Princeton was a different case. The two former municipalities were abolished, and a new municipality was created. Just like with Vineland borough and Landis township in the 1950s, Princeton was a true municipal merger.
In regards to Pine Hill and Pine Valley, the Pine Hill municipality continues while Pine Valley is no more (it has been annexed into Pine Hill).
So, why do we keep using the word "merger," when this was more of an annexation (like when Hardwick township annexed Pahaquarry township)? 2601:85:C300:5830:7868:F3BB:6E81:7D6B (talk) 14:58, 28 December 2023 (UTC)
