References and Unsourced Material edit

July 2012 - Reviewing the references as some seem to be attributed to sites that don't actually contain the information the reference suggest they do. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Ethanbentley (talkcontribs) 22:47, 4 July 2012 (UTC)Reply

I have looked for sources with regards to Pimm's containing quinine and can find nothing, I even spoke to a contact in Pimm's who say that it deosn't (no citable but I think sufficient to cause doubt and remove the unsourced point.

undated comment (pre-June 2012) edit

I have removed a section titled heath concerns, which suggested that that Pimms might be linked with type II diabetes, in accordance to Wikipedia source suggestions as I cannot find any source to back up the statement.

comment (October 2007) edit

There is a note of Pimm's #7 being based on something called adam, it seems odd but I have no way to know if it's real. Thoughts anyone? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 136.242.18.108 (talk) 20:07, 1 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

Citation needed edit

Citation needed - but I cannot work out how to do it.

Merge edit

I've proposed that Pimm's Cup be merged into this page. Pimm's Cup has very little content (Just one line), and there is not much information available for it. And I've never heard of any use for Pimm's other than a "Pimm's Cup", aswell. Ruyter (talk) 01:00, 10 May 2009 (UTC)Reply

Carried out

Pimms TV Adverts in the UK edit

A current advertising campaign running in the UK depicting the ingredients of a the Pimms "cocktail" as people/characters names them as Pimms, Jug, Ice, Lemonade (shown as 3 women, I imagine to depict volume used), Orange, Strawberry, Cucumber and Mint. No mention of Apples or Lemon. --Alchemist Jack (talk) 13:31, 29 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

I don't see the inclusion of 'portrayed by a black man' as relevant? I'm ging to remove it. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.7.33.84 (talk) 12:27, 18 December 2010 (UTC)Reply

History edit

I noticed that one of the statements regarding Pimm's being sold by hawkers was noted as being dubious. I agree and think the sentence should be removed from the article altogether. All other sites which mention this statement are quoting this article, so they aren't reliable as far as history of the drink and company are concerned. Even the official website doesn't address this occurrence, which is probably would if it were true. Offeiriad (talk) 16:34, 31 July 2013 (UTC)Reply

Pimm's No.7 real? edit

Pimm's No.7 tequila is listed in the historical varients with a little blurb about how it was an attempt to break into the US market - is this factual?

All the references cite there being 6 varieties, not 7. The only reference anywhere to 7 appears to be this blog https://summerfruitcup.wordpress.com/2011/07/04/recreating-the-long-lost-pimms-cups-scotch-rum-rye-tequila/ which is them creating it as a novel 'tribute' variety. In a later post they create 8 - 12.

Unless some source can be found to substantiate the existance of a Pimm's No.7 then I think it should be deleted. 194.193.145.207 (talk) 08:06, 26 August 2022 (UTC)Reply

This is a pretty reliable source. ɱ (talk) 15:55, 26 August 2022 (UTC)Reply
