There is a sentence that starts this way:"He has been criticizing budget cutbacks in the euro zones—which he has called—periphery countries." I do not understand this. Why "euro zones" (rather than "zone")? What has he called, and what did he call it?

His surname is Venetian in origin and its correct pronunciation would be [padoˈan], but he has chosen to pronounce it [ˈpaːdoan]. A similar case to Liza Minnelli, who is probably the only person who pronounces her name [ˈlaɪzə].--Carnby (talk) 20:03, 26 September 2016 (UTC)Reply
