Talk:Phyllis Vance

Dunder Mifflin edit

I am going through several articles and changing instances of "Dunder-Mifflin" to "Dunder Mifflin" (no hyphen) as it is the proper "spelling" of the company name (see Talk page at Dunder Mifflin). Just leaving a note to say that I've gone through this page. :) Fieryrogue 20:19, 21 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

Last name edit

Should this page be renamed Phyllis Vance? --68.220.108.46 20:27, 9 February 2007 (UTC)Reply

    • If no one objects i will move it to Phyllis Vance. YaanchSpeak! 18:47, 24 February 2007 (UTC)Reply

Is there any evidence that Phyllis's married name is "Phyllis Vance"? I can find no dialog that uses her married name. For all we know, her married name could be "Phyllis Lapin-Vance" or even "Phyllis Lapin" (keeping her maiden name for professional reason). -- Raymondc0 16:07, 24 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

This newspaper article identifies the character as Phyllis Lapin-Vance. Should we rename the page? -- Raymondc0 22:38, 8 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

UK Counter Part edit

At the top of the page it states the UK office counterpart for this character is Sheila, while in the overview section it states there is no counterpart and this is an original character. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 94.3.9.228 (talk) 02:21, 22 November 2009 (UTC)Reply

Requested move edit

Sorry but I feel the need to resurrect the move request. In the episode Weight Loss (The Office) after Dwight abandons her across town and she has to walk back to the office, Phyllis picks up the phone and calls Corporate and says "Phyllis Vance for David Wallace". I don't see how much more clear we can be that she changed her name after getting married. If she calls herself Phyllis Vance out loud, vocally, to her superior, why is that not evidence enough?

Someone asked for evidence, and there it is. I'm not satisfied why this is still up for discussion. There is no evidence that I know of that she double-barrels her name as Lapin-Vance, but if someone has it please provide it. Also, if someone has a script of this episode that may help.

Yes, the NBC website calls her Phyllis Lapin, but it was obviously not since updated because it also lists Pam as Pam Beesly yet Pam's article is now called Pam Halpert.

I therefore request Phyllis Lapin-Vance be renamed Phyllis Vance and redirected from Phyllis Lapin.
