The two electrons released after the photolysis of water is allowed to be gained by the 4Mn atoms...the photolysis is performed in the presence of cl&ca ions.th 4 Mn helps in fulfilling the high electron deficit in the ps2 during the non cyclic &cyclic photophosphorylation. Yes, I checked a few recent papers and couldn't see any indication that it occurs specifically at the stroma lamellae, as opposed to any other part of the thylakoid membrane.   Fixed, thanks. Adrian J. Hunter(talkcontribs) 00:27, 30 November 2013 (UTC)Reply
