Talk:Philodendron cordatum

At this time, July 7, 2019, this page is completely in error. One of the cited references ("What's Wrong with My Houseplant") gives the proper ID for the species described and shown in the photo - Philodendron hederaceum. There is already a page for that species:

[Philodendron hederaceum]

Untitled edit

The true P. cordatum grows much larger than hederaceum in every way. Ref: http://www.exoticrainforest.com/Philodendron%20cordatum%20pc.html --JHill3 (talk) 01:54, 8 July 2019 (UTC)Reply

Now I have edited the main article to better represent the facts about this species. --JHill3 (talk) 02:29, 8 July 2019 (UTC)Reply

Picture is still wrong? edit

As the user below points out, the photo attached to this article is clearly still of a heartleaf philodendron, despite the article taking great pains to outline the common confusion between the two. Unless I’m very much mistaken, the cortadum has significantly larger leaves. Can someone more knowledgeable confirm and potentially source a photo—so this article doesn’t continue to contribute to the widespread disinfo? A Google search reveals (in addition to this article) numerous fancy-pants plant retailers who are marketing “cortadums” which are actually hederaceum. Microfamous (talk) 03:40, 13 May 2021 (UTC)Reply
