Jamie McDaniel edit

It says in this article that Jamie McDaniel is a physician. That's 100% false. I attended PSU while he taught there, and he is an English professor. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Bklick (talkcontribs) 19:03, 30 November 2018 (UTC)Reply

Stub class edit

The article itself isn't classified as stub anymore. Members of the WikiProjects should therefore modify the templates on top of this page and assign another class. Bisco 08:08, 5 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

Overly long plot summary edit

I shortened the "Sypnosis" section. Now I hope the plot makes still sense. If anyone can check if this section is ok now, then the template {{plot}} can be removed.
There is very much happening in the film, many minor characters and little things that happen. You have to leave most of this out. I tried to concentrate on the main things, but leave some details to notable things/scenes for the film that are likely to be remembered (swarm of flies covering the building, the pool of bodies). Of course, which scene is "notable" in this way can be discussed here. Bisco 10:03, 5 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

managed to get it down to 400 words. i had to remove this piece as its not part of the plot:
"Jennifer has sleepwalking issues that appear to be derived from a traumatic Christmas Day departure of her mother with her lover when Jennifer was 7, an event drawn directly from Argento's own life."
when is a christmas day departure of her mother with a lover ever mentioned in the film? dont remember it. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 82.3.64.139 (talk) 11:47, 5 May 2007 (UTC).Reply
I think you have further improved the plot a lot. The part with the sleepwalking issues can be dropped imo (it gets clear she has issues, when it is said that she is sleepwalking). Also I agree on the point, that the Argento reference doesn't belong to the plot. I had thought of moving it to a trivia/film info section. But I also don't remember it from my version of the film. Maybe it is cut. Bisco 12:05, 5 May 2007 (UTC)Reply
Maybe you can put the part about how the fly discovers a severed hand back in. I think it would make more sense because why else would the fly lead her to this house when nothing is there. Bisco 12:16, 5 May 2007 (UTC)Reply
added. do you remember any brain scan in the film? i dont remember jennifer connelly being put in a brain scan either (i saw the normal uncut european cut), but i could be wrong. 82.3.64.139 13:49, 5 May 2007 (UTC)Reply
Right after the scenes with McGregor, there is the "brain scan scene", they call it EEG in the film. I just watched it (Platinum dvd "Dario Argento Collection" edition). Bisco 14:21, 5 May 2007 (UTC)Reply
I found it: Jennifer tells Sophie in the first night at school about how her mother left [1], but I can't find a connection to the sleepwalking. And also no source for the connection to Argentos own life. Bisco 16:41, 5 May 2007 (UTC)Reply
This is in the audio commentary. Dario's mom got a call from her lover on Christmas when Dario was seven, and she left for South America with him that day. --Scottandrewhutchins 14:45, 14 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

Fair use rationale for Image:Phenomena dvd cover.jpg edit

Image:Phenomena dvd cover.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Film score edit

The film score in the film is taken from multiple sources as stated in the prose. The infobox is not supposed to reflect a producers wishes or a film credits in a certain version of a film. Like any infobox, it is used to reflect information within the article. Per WP:INFOBOXPURPOSE, "keep in mind the purpose of an infobox: to summarize (and not supplant) key facts that appear in the article". Stating that Goblin did the score, regardless of what the credits say, is flat out not factual. Andrzejbanas (talk) 23:11, 9 April 2018 (UTC)Reply

One of the sources added recently, even re-states this, Fact notes "[http://www.factmag.com/2014/07/30/goblins-soundtrack-to-dario-argentos-phenomena-finally-receives-proper-vinyl-pressing/ as usual for Argento, the film sported a natty soundtrack from cult Italian prog heroes Goblin, well, sort of. A short score was composed by Goblin’s Claudio Simonetti and Fabio Pignatelli, and was fleshed out with stadium fillers from Iron Maiden and Motörhead." 3D version? edit

On amazon [2] there is some edition with side-by-side 3D visuals - does anyone know if there were two cameras during filming? --Trickstar (talk) 14:51, 18 March 2022 (UTC)Reply
