Fair use rationale for Image:Phantasm 4.jpg

edit

Image:Phantasm 4.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Sequel

Phantasm V is the upcoming sequel to the Phantasm series and is expected to follow the events after Phantasm IV: Oblivion. It will star the original cast, A. Michael Baldwin, Reggie Bannister, and Angus Scrimm. The film is currently in pre-production. According to an interview with Angus Scrimm, the sequel might not happen. As late as mid-October 2008, Angus Scrimm has said that funding is the main cause for the film's delay.

Footage

On June 30th 2007 on Ain't It Cool News, a possible scene was shown during Don Coscarelli's Farewell to The Alamo Drafthouse. The scene starts with Angus Scrimm as the Tall Man with two sentinel spheres in the background and says "This is all just a dream." Then, we see A. Michael Baldwin as Michael and he responds by saying "No." Michael then puts a small pistol to his head and says "No. It is not." Then The Tall Man looks surprised at Michael. Then as the screen pitches to black, a gunshot is heard. This footage may or may not be footage (or the ending for that matter) from Phantasm V. Also, in the scene, Baldwin is wearing his reading glasses which (rumour has it) is evidence that the cast reading for Phantasm V has been confirmed. The scene itself mirrors the ending for Phantasm II, except the characters are saying the other character's line (James LeGros played Mike in part II).

Phantasm IV OblivionPhantasm IV: Oblivion – I'm pretty sure that the correct title includes a colon after the numeral. That's how Amazon, IMDb and Rotten Tomatoes all spell it. Flax5 (talk) 16:13, 15 April 2012 (UTC)Reply
