IRLI?

The article states that Walls "became the commanding officer of the IRLI". Is this a mistake (i.e. should it read "RLI"), a misprint of "1RLI" (1st Battalion The Rhodesian Light Infantry) or some other abbreviation? Claim of 2,000 insurgents turned

The article reads "On 4 November 1978 Walls announced to the press that 2,000 nationalist guerrillas had been persuaded to lay down their arms (this figure has been placed by subsequent historical research at closer to no more than 50)." However, I have found no other (non-Wikipedia) sources which corroborate a once-off claim for such a number in a single incident. Having recently read the Selous Scouts book by Reid-Daly and Stiff, it seems to me that a total ballpark figure of 2,000 insurgents turned operationally by the Selous Scouts to date during the unit's history makes perfect sense, and I strongly suspect that was what was intended in the press release.
