Incorrect QC/KC suffix edit

I removed the incorrect suffix, recently replaced by someone apparently unfamiliar with the position.

Once one of HM Counsel becomes a High Court judge s/he ceases to hold the office of HM Counsel. A quick glance at the biogs of any of the 180-odd HC and CA judges on Wikipedia shows the consistent usage, possibly with one or two outliers. Oddly, the usage differs in respect of circuit judges. So a High Court judge is The Hon Mr Justice Smith (or, for the pedantic, and as sometimes used on court lists the Hon Mr Justice Smith, Kt). And if he has a medal, he will, say. be The Hon Mr Justice Smith TD Kt.

The position with circuit judges is oddly different. His Honour Judge Smith QC (or His Honour Judge Smith TC QC). This may possibly have something to do with the position that a circuit judge is a recent statutory office (Courts Act 1971); I do not know. But the conventions are universal. So while it is correct to assert that Roth J, the subject here, was a QC when in practice at the bar, he is neither a QC nor a KC now. He can, if pedantically, be referred to as The Hon Mr Justice Roth Kt. Simples. Ironman1104 14:40, 9 October 2022 (UTC)
