Recall edit

This section looks like it was ripped from a news source. Anyone know what?StvnLunsford 22:06, 15 February 2007 (UTC)Reply

It was, I removed it. Currently the situation isn't worth more than a sentence or two anyhow. Guess who is throwing some peanut butter away when he gets home?  :) -- Ash Lux (talk | contribs) 22:40, 15 February 2007 (UTC)Reply
I was going to eat some peanut butter when I decided to check this, but ive eaten some out iof this can and it hadnt hurt me before. Could it suddenly be salmonellaized Dappled Sage 21:45, 5 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

Removed reference edit

Reference for the taglines "Doesn't stick to the roof of your mouth!" and "America's favorite" was http://graphic-design.tjs-labs.com/gallery-view?start=0&span=1000&sort=B&op=AND&match=LIKE&product=peter+pan+peanut+butter. The link was added by the owner of the site, whom I've blocked for spamming, and who twice evaded my questions about the copyright status of his pages. This is not an appropriate reference to cite in Wikipedia. Femto 15:57, 19 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

Shortage Comment edit

The statement that a run on peanut butter lead to a shortage has been marked as needing a citation since June, so it has been removed. If someone wants it back, they can find a source to verify this. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Leavemade (talkcontribs)

No arguments here. It can stay gone. I also don't believe it was a "run" on the others so much as that the market was just knocked out of whack considering that a major portion of the PB supply was suddenly withdrawn, and so purchases just shifted to the other brands to compensate, and left the shelves bare as a result. More Information edit

I think that there should be more information on this brand aside from the salmonella incident. I am currently researching the brand, and want to know more about it from before the scare this year, and am unable to use Wikipedia to begin my research as I would otherwise be able to do. Hopefully, I'll at least be able to add the pre-scare market share of the brand, but more contributions would be appreciated. Boter 22:16, 11 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

Well, if you can find information from another reliable source, cite it, and stick it in here! I admit the article is a bit unbalanced... SchuminWeb (Talk) 01:51, 12 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

Tourettes Guy edit

In the "taglines" section, there is a quote from the internet celeberty, Tourettes Guy (regarding the Peter Pan Peanut Butter Alert back in 07.) This is not appropriate for this section because it was not an official tagline. However, it would be right at home in a pop culture reference section. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.62.12.147 (talk) 18:03, 26 October 2008 (UTC)Reply
