Unbalanced sentence re "unflattering comments" about Māori edit

I have removed the following sentence from the article.

The review also made a number of unflattering comments about traditional Maori society, saying that they "found" New Zealand but did not "discover" it, and that they "were not good observers... a society in which people are unable to discern and diagnose life-threatening events is lacking in something that is essential."

I don't know much about Munz but the sentence seems rather unbalanced. Following the last quote, Munz said, "this lack of interest is perfectly legitimate and understandable." A bit later he wrote, "Polynesian sailors were incredibly intrepid ... European sailors were never intrepid." So it was by no means all unflattering to Māori. Nurg (talk) 10:39, 17 May 2021 (UTC)Reply
