Film Locations edit

Is there a source for the filming locations, I know a lot of the footage was in Leigh because I recognise the parks and the streets, but obviously I'm not a reliable source. GimliDotNet (talk) 17:27, 28 May 2015 (UTC)Reply

We still have this unsupported statement in the lede: "The sitcom was filmed in and around Greater Manchester, notably Bolton, Manchester, Trafford and Salford." I guess Leigh is Greater Manchester, but some sources would be a very good idea. Martinevans123 (talk) 14:34, 2 January 2016 (UTC)Reply

See also - not appropriate edit

I think that the "See also" section is misinformed. It mentions "Carpool" and "Comedians in cars getting coffee" implying that they're in some way similar. Both are interview shows that take place between the interviewer (Robert Llewelyn and Jerry Seinfeld) and the guest that episode in a car [and coffee shop]. This Peter Kay programme is nothing like that at all. It's a standard sitcom. The only difference being that instead of being in a home or workplace, this one's set in a car, with two people on their way to/from work. It's also very little like Marion and Geoff, the other programme to see also. They share the fact that they're both set in a car, but that's like saying on an Odd Couple page to see also Mork and Mindy which was also set mostly in an apartment. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 185.17.205.133 (talk) 08:50, 5 December 2015 (UTC)Reply

Agreed. Removed. ed g2stalk 14:12, 2 January 2016 (UTC)Reply
I think it's actually quite similar to Marion and Geoff and I think this comparison has been made in the popular press. Agree about the others. Martinevans123 (talk) 14:32, 2 January 2016 (UTC)Reply
Is it thought to be similar to M&G by critics etc.? CS is about the interaction between the two main characters - M&G has only one character and it's him talking to the camera. They're different styles of comedy: CS is a typical sitcom except for it being between only two people - whereas M&G is darker, slower and deeper. Jim Michael (talk) 20:47, 11 April 2017 (UTC)Reply
Just my opinion and recollection. Happy to add a contrast/ comparison/ both, if any sources are actually available. Martinevans123 (talk) 21:02, 11 April 2017 (UTC)Reply

name edit

Is Kay's character really John? In e1 he is called Jonathan, which means it would be Jon. Spicemix (talk) 16:12, 2 February 2021 (UTC)Reply

Look at the name badge here. Looks like it's always been John. Whereabouts in Ep1 is the Jonathan bit? - X201 (talk) 08:37, 3 February 2021 (UTC)Reply
Thanks, yes, I checked the credits last night and it is John. But Kayleigh calls him Jonathan in e3 too. It may be meant as a pet name. Spicemix (talk) 12:54, 3 February 2021 (UTC)Reply
