- Had a go at correcting the grammar whilst keeping the content of the last bit. It wasn't bad as it was - the word "big" was wrong, and it needed some seperation of clauses. -- Gregg 02:16, 28 May 2004 (UTC)

Hounam is also the spokesperson for the self appointed, NIMBY Anti Closed Road Event (Acre) group, in Perthshire, Scotland which is unconstituted and consists of, allegedly, two members and uses a three-year-old petition of around 500 signatures as a remit to campaign against the Etape Caledonian cycle event being held on (closed) Perthshire roads because it "breachs the most fundamental human rights" of not being allowed to drive a car (for a period of 4–6 hours) on one May Sunday morning each year. The event is, however, supported by a majority of people (around 10,000) in Highland Perthshire.
