Permsky District → Perm District – This article was moved by Ymblanter in 2020 from Perm District to Permsky District on the grounds that "this is inconsistent with other three thousands articles on Russian districts". However, it is now inconsistent with the topic's namesakes Perm, Russia, Perm Krai and Perm Oblast. As the text & infobox of the article has not yet been edited to match its title, it seems worth recording a discussion on the name before doing that. – Fayenatic London 11:12, 15 November 2022 (UTC) — Relisting. Indeed, we have Oblast/Krai without the suffix "sky" and Russian districts with "sky"", see for example Pskov Oblast vs Pskovsky District, Tomsk Oblast vs Tomsky District. This choice was donme sometime in the middle of the 2000s, before I joined. I do not have strong feelings about it, but if we move Permsky District we should move all Russian districts, such as Andreapolsky District or Yelabuzhsky District. There are a couple of thousands of those. Note that the city districts use the same pattern as the Federal subjects, such as Kuntsevo District.--Ymblanter (talk) 12:41, 15 November 2022 (UTC)Reply

In principle i support moving away from the current mix of russian and english is silly (or move it to 'Permsky raion'). But per Ymblanter we should be systematic about this and move all the relevant articles—blindlynx 16:51, 15 November 2022 (UTC)Reply
Comment The problem with moving all districts (raions) to the proposed English noun adjunct form is that many are not named after its capital city or even another tangible toponym. For example, Shegarsky District has the administrative center in Melnikovo (on brief research, it seems to be named after the Shegarka river). I don't know how many similar examples are out there, but moving them to names such as Shegarka District seems too far-fetched and OR to me. (Alternatively, we can leave such ones alone.)
