Talk:Permian High School Band

Latest comment: 17 years ago by Black Falcon

I'm unsure as to why the article was tagged as I am a new user/editor. @ the editors, please go in to detail here, if it's not too much trouble. It would seem strange to merge this article to me because the article about the main school is smaller than the article I have written. It also would seem strange because people would look at the article of the school after looking up High School Football or Friday Night Lights. People around the world are however interested in the Permian band as evidenced in the Chicago portion of the article. After the conference, many people and band directors called and e-mailed the band. This is what was posted on top. I couldn't understand it because it was a little unclear. I might just be stupid :D.

Hi, and welcome to Wikipedia. You are welcome to delete the {{prod}} (proposed deletion) tag if you think the article should be kept (I simply re-added on procedural grounds as proposed deletion tags do not apply to article talk pages. Although the editor who tagged the article didn't specify a specific policy or guideline, I think he/she believes the article does not satisfy Wikipedia's notability guideline. If you think the article does satisfy the guideline or you intend to improve it to meet this guideline, you may remove the deletion tag (you can also remove the other tags if you feel the concerns they raise have been addressed or if you think they are not warranted). For help on Wikipedia guidelines/policies and how to use Wikipedia, you can post questions at Wikipedia:Help desk. Oh, and FYI, if a proposed deletion tag is removed from an article, it is usually (almost automatically) sent to the Articles for discussion page. If you would like further information on deletion policies, please see Wikipedia:Deletion policy. Cheers, Black Falcon 06:56, 15 February 2007 (UTC)Reply

I understand now. I'm adding in some outside sources but keeping the ones in place. I believe the article should be under the organizations category.
