Citation? Everyone, including Berenger, knew that PML has reflections once you discretize the wave equation, and this is already mentioned in the article. As for the exact wave equation, Berenger's original analysis has been confirmed multiple times in multiple ways, most elegantly by the coordinate-stretching approach of Chew and Weedon. —Steven G.
