Talk:People's Republic of Stokes Croft

Name? edit

There are 2 questions about the name: is "The" included? is it "Peoples" or "People's"? On the former, the website (eg http://www.prsc.org.uk/mission.htm) seems pretty clear that "The" is not always used, and not capitalised if it is, so it's not a part of the Wikipedia title. As for the apostrophe - the article as originally written had apostrophe in text but not in article title. The website seems to go for "no apostrophe" - but if you follow the link to the official stuff at http://www.prsc.org.uk/wordpress/090403Mem&ArtsPRSC.pdf, then it says "The Company’s name is “People’s Republic of Stokes Croft Community Interest Company." I think on balance (and because it's grammatical) the title of the article should probably be what I've moved it to (in 2 stages!): People's Republic of Stokes Croft. I don't know anything about the area beyond what's been on Radio 4 news, I'm just a passing retired librarian wikignome! PamD (talk) 13:36, 13 May 2011 (UTC)Reply

Typo edit

Shouldn't it be Banksy rather than Bansky? Smallfixer (talk) 06:58, 9 August 2011 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for highlighting that -- a couple of other pages had the same error. - Fayenatic (talk) 10:18, 9 August 2011 (UTC)Reply

History/Aims and Activities organisation change edit

Hi all,

Thinking of organising this page a little bit by splitting the page up into history/background and aims/activities. Let me know if you have any objections, insight, sources, or ideas. Thanks! Emmybris (talk) 14:03, 2 January 2024 (UTC)Reply

As an addendum to this, this page is in great need of some detail about PRSC's part in the 2011 Tesco protests. I'm not well-versed in this so I'd love it if someone could add some detail. Thanks! Emmybris (talk) 15:09, 2 January 2024 (UTC)Reply
