material for update/expansion

edit

This article by Terry Glavin, formerly a resident of Pender, covers a lot of aboriginal history as well as the details of the politics and archaeological site/former native village that is now Poet's Cove Resort & Spa.....Skookum1 (talk) 04:59, 9 May 2009 (UTC)Reply

I've added a History section, incorporating a few details from the article above as well as other sources. Hopefully someone with real knowledge of the island's history can expand it (ideally, in my opinion, giving due weight to the small but ancient indigenous presence on Pender). I'm a relatively new editor, in terms of experience, so I'm still not sure what constitutes wording an article like an advertisement for hotels or shopping malls or newspapers and what constitutes encyclopedic content. Help/guidelines? MADaboutforests (talk) 22:27, 28 February 2011 (UTC)Reply
