I am thinking there is a mistake in the route maps shown [1] and [2] - because the italian prince is described as going on a detour to St Petersburg and then driving back to Moscow - this would mean the race route did not officially go to St Petersburg? or perhaps there is no "official" route and this was an approximation --Astrokey44 16:51, 15 May 2006 (UTC)

The Prince did detour to S.Petersburg to attend a gran ball: he had already gained a twenty dayd advantage on the second car. There was no official route, but just a suggested one. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 84.221.25.134 (talk • contribs)

How long was the path?

The Itala's journey was nearly 16.000 km long, that is nearly 10.000 miles, and not 12.000. The source is the prince Borghese preface of the Barzini's book, first edition Milan, 1908.

Wrong map

The map of the 1907 route erroneously shows present-day borders in Europe & elsewhere. It should show pre-WWI borders — and it should be much larger for comprehension. Sca (talk) 14:09, 5 August 2013 (UTC)

Is Paris to Beijing an entirely different race?

In reading up on Robert Neyret, I see he competed in the 2015 Paris to Beijing classic car race, with many pictures to illustrate the journey. Is that the same race as "Peking to Paris"? PLawrence99cx (talk) 17:20, 24 September 2020 (UTC)
