editThere was fighting in Italy against the Ottoman Turks? Or am I just reading the statement "he fought in Italy against the Turks" wrong? And that he was born in the 14th century but died in 1542. Mind if I change it to what I'm sure should be the 15th century? Kostantino888Z (talk) 02:39, 6 March 2009 (UTC)
Pedro de Candia was a member of the House of Candia?
editThere are no citations of Pedro de Candia being a member of the house of Candia or being of Italian origins. I think this article should be modified. In fact all sources call him a Greek (Griego) or Cretan. Kentarchos
Candía
editWith the pronunciation Spanish pronunciation: [ˈpeðɾo ðe kanˈði.a] he should be written "Candía" rather than "Candia". And indeed Pedro Pizarro writes "Candía" ([1] page 226). -- Wassermaus (talk) 21:32, 23 March 2019 (UTC)
