Fascism

edit

There is no academic consensus that Pedro Pablo Ramírez was a Fascist, nor are there any reliable sources indicating this either, the sources being used to describe him as a Fascist apparently are from 1943, at a time when the U.S. was pressuring Argentina to cut ties with the Axis powers and declare war on them, I don't think this is a reliable source. -- 138.122.83.177 (talk) 21:02, 27 May 2021 (UTC)Reply

Are there more recent reliable sources contravening these earlier sources? Beyond My Ken (talk) 21:08, 27 May 2021 (UTC)Reply
It seems that this accusation isn't even treated seriously by modern sources, it seems no modern source tries to even respond to it, not does any source tries to seriously argue that the was a Fascist either, so it does seem pretty much that this is just Allied propaganda, to treat it as a fact would be something very unencyclopedic. -- 138.122.83.66 (talk) 06:36, 30 May 2021 (UTC)Reply
Not good enough. We have reliable sources that claim he was a fascist, or at least leaned that way, and no reliable sources which contradict that, so that article stays as it is. Beyond My Ken (talk) 09:27, 30 May 2021 (UTC)Reply
Apart from the fact that the reliability of the source claiming that he was a fascist is rather dubious, what you're proposing goes against WP:CATDEF, which states that sources must consistently and commonly define said person as X or Y, but sources don't consistently and commonly define him as a fascist. -- 201.20.90.223 (talk) 05:27, 2 June 2021 (UTC)Reply
You've yet to provide a single citation from any source to support your contention. Beyond My Ken (talk) 17:58, 2 June 2021 (UTC)Reply
Do you have any modern sources which describe him as a fascist? Since you're the one making the changes, technically you need to provide them to justify it, a wartime source is not enough to describe him as a fascist. -- 201.20.127.160 (talk) 21:27, 2 June 2021 (UTC)Reply
The information in the article is sourced. Your attempt to confuse matters by ignoring sourcing requirmeents will not work. Beyond My Ken (talk) 22:23, 2 June 2021 (UTC)Reply
Like I said, you need more than 1 source in order to label him as a fascist, and the source's reliability is dubious, you're basically imposing a POV, not hard to understand. -- 201.20.127.160 (talk) 00:50, 4 June 2021 (UTC)Reply
