Appearance in another Streatfeild novel edit

I have just reread Ballet Shoes for the first time since childhood. I vaguely remember another Streatfeild novel in which the protagonist eventually ends up meeting the grown-up film actress Pauline Fossil. Can anyone remember which book that is?

Yes, Pauline and Posy are seen again as successful adults in a later Streatfeild novel "The Painted Garden" (1949). The following link gives more information than the Wikipedia article: http://www.whitegauntlet.com.au/noelstreatfeild/ChildFiction/BooksPaintedGarden.htm

In general, this article on Pauline Fossil is not very informative. It appears to be written by someone who knows more about the films than the books. Anna Lowenstein (talk) 21:18, 9 September 2014 (UTC)Reply
