This article is currently under discussion at the Biographies of living persons noticeboard. Content in living persons' biographies must be adequately supported by reliable sources and give due weight facts as indicated in those sources. Primary sources can be cited for basic biographical information, however those touching on notability or significant accomplishments should be supported by coverage in independent third-party sources. I've performed a cleanup to address the following problems:
- Arbitrary capitalization and other WP:MOS
- Add cites to biographical content
- Remove cites to the subject's self-publications; remove excess external links (once is enough)
- Remove unsupported claims about third parties including David Copperfield (WP:BLPSPS/WP:RS)
- "Frequent performer in..." — remove list as entirely unsupported, likely insignificant (many, many performers out there)
- Conferences, lectures, etc.; statements like, "Early in Draper's career he gave lectures at national and international academic conferences in the field of anthropology." — unsupported, likely one of many speakers and attendees, encyclopedically insignificant.
- Remove upcoming project "Mr. Clown" (WP:CRYSTAL)
- Professional memberships, charities — insignificant, unsupported.
- Minister — names of persons of no significance, entirely unsupported, entire topic is most probably insignificant: many in Nevada can marry people.
- Remove trivial TV appearances: all appear unsupported and probably insignificant. Note appearing on a TV show does not cause Draper to WP:INHERIT any noteworthiness in particular. See also WP:NOTNEWSPAPER and WP:FART for reasons that news mentions are not inherently noteworthy, and do not necessarily support biographically encyclopedic content.
- Remove awards, all of which were unsupported/unverifiable:
- Of questionable significance, regional awards by private associations: Irene Ryan Acting Award; Pacific Coast Association of Magicians and Rocky Mountain Emmy Awards — unsupported/unverifiable
- Of ostensibly no significance: Awards of Volunteer Award 2003 for the National Conference of Community and Justice; Houdini Award; bests and runner ups in city-wide 48hr Film Festivals; American College Theater Association award; finalist in National Forensic League Competition — unsupported/unverifiable
- Remove collection of media coverage and publications that are of little to no biographical significance (see WP:NOTNEWSPAPER, WP:RESUME, and WP:FART); de-puff claim that the subject was "featured" — at least half feature another topic entirely:
- As a cultural anthropologist: Draper talking about the Sony Executive Kazuo Hirai announcing the re-launch of the PlayStation Network, Draper talking about cosplay, Draper's comments as a consultant, on a commercial website — very little of this is substantially about Draper
- As a magician: Bloggy advert for a $10 show — not particularly reliable, too commercial
- Other: Draper talking about Googling himself; Draper talking about "Sin City still live up to its reputation as America's most extravagant party town"
The content I removed may, of course, be replaced with reliable third-party sources that support not only the content, but also its significance. Below are some links that might lead to such coverage:

Planned Revisions
editI will be working with Paul Draper to revise this page, and will take into consideration all comments and edits noted above. Almoustine (talk) 02:59, 23 May 2014 (UTC)
- You need to read WP:COI - almost certainly best to suggest changes here for other editors to implement. I've left more links on your talk page. Dougweller (talk) 10:34, 23 May 2014 (UTC)
Further requested revisions.
Noting the hard work put into this page by those editors watching, I decided to ask for guidance in respect of some suggested edits to Mr Draper's page.
The suggested edits as follows and I value guidance in respect of each.
Keynote speaker for a neonatal convention.
My question: is the a noteworthy enough event in order to justify editing it into the article?

Mr Draper is consultant cultural anthropologist for the Utah Herald.
Does this warrant inclusion on the page about Mr Draper or on the page of the Utah Herald?
Is the following press article worthy of addition in the references section?
Mr Draper is a consultant for CBS I think that this is a clearly worthy reference, but don't want to ruffle any feathers. Please advise.

http://www.sleightsofmind.com/magicians-bio/
Is this Yale press release worthy of including in the references section?

I felt most comfortable of all when considering suggestion Mr Draper's appearance on the Hallmark Channel, here talking about his experience of the first 10 shows in that series.
Would be very happy to receive advice about any of the above.

Paid editing
editBased on a job posted on Upwork, a paid editor was hired in August 2021 to add content to the article. The new content needs to be checked. I haven't yet confirmed if the editor concerned was evading a block - if that's the case, this will be easier to fix. - Bilby (talk) 22:08, 27 December 2021 (UTC)

A few months ago, when I was on the cover of the most important magazine in my industry in the UK, I posted to a site asking if I could hire someone to add a reference to the magazine on this page since I didn't know how to do it and no one had yet. I ended up paying someone on UpWork and they added two references. I am sorry. I didn't know this would be a problem. What should I do to fix this and make it right?
At the time, I didn't know about the edit request process at (<https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Edit_requests>) to ask for specific changes to an article related to me.
What should I do to remove these edits and clear this page about me of the Paid edits banner? Thank you for your help, kindness, and understanding. Additionally, I am now on the faculty at Soka University and will try the above link for the edit request process to see if anyone wants to add that to the page. - Now that you know about {{edit request}}s, I suggest you use that process to identify the added references so they can be validated by an uninvolved editor, request that after the validation, the paid editing template may be removed, and finally, provide a reference to support the addition of your new position at Soka University. — jmcgnh(talk) (contribs) 06:56, 27 January 2022 (UTC)
