Futher Research edit

Is there any hungraian people who could have a look at public records and see if they can find anymore info about Kern, I'm also interested in finding the "Dr Fern" mentioned in the newspapers, perhaps he will have some punished research, I've already tried Google scholar to no avail :(

I'd like to find out more about his early life and military career, is it likely this would be public record? Andrew 1993 (talk) 13:04, 24 July 2013 (UTC)Reply

@Andrew 1993: - you can order or request access to military records here - unfortunately these records are on paper, although you may be able to access some online from Vienna. Access to military records is free to absolutely anybody, but you have to show that it's 'in the public interest'. I would also love to look at them! The validity of this story is dubious. The only sources for it are random newspapers. There are no cited published medical journals on this, which would be almost certain to exist if this did happen. I would vote for deletion. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.110.120.62 (talk) 18:24, 21 November 2015 (UTC) I vote for no deletion, even neuroscientist Jim Horne wrote about this man in his book.Walidou47 (talk) 22:20, 4 January 2020 (UTC)Reply

Even Jim Horne's self-proclaimed 'controversial' book that mentions Paul Kern states clearly that "Everyone sleeps and needs to do so." The Insomnia page this was merged to also references a few other people popularly cited as never sleeping, but none of them have any scientific backing for their claims. I don't know that this should be deleted, but it should be put in proper context for those who look him up. Thornbrier (talk) 16:49, 20 August 2020 (UTC)Reply
