Lede edit

  • as part of the MRT eastern line extension to this station what does 'this station' refer to here?
  • An incident happened in 2016 on the tracks away from the station which resulted in the deaths of two maintenance workers. I suggest changing this to An incident on the tracks in 2016 resulted in the deaths of two maintenance workers. for conciseness.
  • an interchange with the Cross Island line (CRL) you should clarify that the CRL is upcoming and thus not currently in place.

History edit

  • was awarded to Sato Kogyo Pte Ltd 'Ltd' needs a period after it as it is an abbreviation.
  • on March 1986 'on' to 'in'.
  • The contract also includes the construction the contract was agreed in the past and thus this should read 'included'.
  • As announced by then-first deputy prime minister Goh Chok Tong he was the deputy prime minister, not the 'first deputy prime minister', see Deputy Prime Minister of Singapore. Also could do with a wikilink.
  • the station opened on 16 December when the EWL extends to Pasir Ris. this sentence doesn't quite make sense; there are some tense issues.

Sorry, but I have found quite a few grammatical issues and have only read the first four paragraphs. I believe that this article needs quite a bit of work and copyediting in order to meet the first bullet point of WP:GACR. I will therefore fail this article as it is a long way from meeting one of the GA criteria. I recommend that you request a copyedit at the Guild of Copyeditors and then re-nominate, as I'm sure that the article will pass. I hope you understand, if you have any questions please get in contact. Willbb234Talk (please {{ping}} me in replies) 22:02, 12 March 2021 (UTC)Reply
