@YoungForever: I disagree with your edit. Regarding the RS in the article, I don't think it's SYNTH at all to say that the show was at least primarily filmed in NYC. While the source says that the series "shoots in New York", I think it is pretty clear from the context that NYC is meant. The source mentions "New York City", "NYC", and "Manhattan" several times, whereas there is no indication that the context has changed to be about New York state. I'd be happy to be proved wrong on this, but the only place in NY state outside of NYC where filming took place was the Hudson Valley, and that was for only one episode. Shoots in New York refers to the state, not New York City nor NYC nor Manhattan. Otherwise, it would have say so explicitly. Set in New York City does not mean it was filmed in New York City explicitly FYI. Per WP:SYNTH, Do not combine material from multiple sources to reach or imply a conclusion not explicitly stated by any source. — YoungForever(talk)18:56, 4 September 2022 (UTC)Reply
That's true, but the source did not explicitly mention the state, either. Since there is only one source, that is why I think SYNTH does not apply here. I'll concede that my edit may have violated WP:NOR. However, in context, this is what the source said: In Partner Track, Ingrid Yun (Cho), is an idealistic young lawyer, struggles with her moral compass and her passions as she fights to climb the partner track at an elite New York City law firm. ... Additional directors for the series, which shoots in New York, include Tanya Wexler, Kevin Berlandi, Lily Mariye, and Charles Randolph-Wright. It does not say anything about filming locations in New York state outside of NYC, which I think would have been said explicitly if that were the case.In any case, I've removed the link to NYS. It doesn't seem especially necessary per WP:OVERLINK, since NYC isn't linked at all. Does that sound like a fair compromise? – Epicgenius (talk) 19:42, 4 September 2022 (UTC)Reply
