I removed a very tendentious section that was clearly inappropriate. It also did not have a source; if the speech it described actually took place and has some significance, a source needs to be cited, which will allow us to make sure the incident is characterized from a neutral point of view. --Michael Snow 18:36, 22 June 2006 (UTC)Reply

Wikiproject Law Enforcement edit

I removed the WP:LE tag because, although the articel is about a forensic psychologist he is not associated with a law enforcement agency and there is not sufficient law enforcement contentEMT1871 16:31, 3 February 2007 (UTC)Reply

POV check edit

Obviously bloating; issues like the presumed misconduct in the Andrea Yates case not properly addressed. --MaeseLeon (talk) 03:34, 18 October 2008 (UTC)Reply

The article as it stands is pretty much the one inserted by an anon. editor back on the 14th of September and reads like PR copy to me - it doesn't mention any of the less flattering info in the pre 14/9 version. 90.195.2.177 (talk) 00:47, 11 February 2009 (UTC)Reply

This is a self-flattering article that omits devastating mistakes Dr. Dietz has committed during his career, among them the Andrea Yates case is perhaps the most flagrant. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.164.111.190 (talk) 08:33, 10 March 2009 (UTC)Reply

Anita Hill and Waco situations edit

I can't agree with you that these paragraphs were unrealistically favorable to Dietz. I though they were fair. If someone disagrees, reasons should be stated. I had some trouble adding them back in without hopelessly messing up the references section, and the reference to the Waco book is still not right, but I will work on it. Please discuss major wipe-outs like that ahead of time. I was only trying to add balance to the article, and to have it removed without comment (in a way that makes it difficult to put back) is insulting.Rose bartram (talk) 13:31, 22 May 2009 (UTC)Reply

Another problem is that it now looks like a hatchet piece and unless some of the positive information is replaced, in an appropriately encyclopedic fashion, it will look as unbalanced as before but in the opposite direction.Rose bartram (talk) 13:39, 22 May 2009 (UTC)Reply

I haven't read the 2009 version but this article is overwhelmingly favorable to Park Dietz even after I removed a dated, cheesy compliment to Dietz as well as the preposterous statement that Detective Goren on Law and Order: Criminal Intent is based on Dietz. Has Dietz ever been a detective for the New York City Police Department? Both statements came from dated puff pieces whose main purpose is advertising the then new show Law and Order: Special Victims Unit. The articles are similar to those in the periodicals about an actor starring in a new television series.TL36 (talk) 18:18, 26 August 2013 (UTC)Reply
