I'll take your word for it if there are other genera, but I think maybe the discoverer was just being playful .... it sounds to me like an animal bumping its way around and maybe rolling into a ball. I agree it's worth mentioning that Propalaehoplophorus, Palaehoplophorus, and Hoplophorus are indeed all actual species. The original paper isn't referenced on this page yet, and it explains the etymology, so I can get on that. Dinoman747 (talk) 07:35, 22 May 2022 (UTC)Reply
