Dear Ones,
This article is extremely partial and based on groundless facts and figures. First, Parachinar has never been any kind of haven for Osama bin Laden and his brainless Arabs and ignorant Pashtuns (Sunnis). Second, it is inhabited by Shias who hate Talibans and their false motto. Last, but not least can you please bring correction in what you have written about Parachinar. If you lack informations about parachinar you should contact some very knowledgeable people who know atleast about the history of Parachinar.
In addition to what I have already produced, I would also like to say that Parachinar and Kurram Agency should not be used synonymously. Albeit Parachinar is the head quarter of Kurram Agency, but it does not share its interests with rest of the Kurram Agency. Due to mistaken policies of Zia Ul Haq this beautiful region of Kurram Agency - Parachinar had been continuous target of sectarianism, but it does not mean that religious fanaticism has engulfed this region. The people of Kurram Agency are educated with the exception of those who are deprived of the blessing of education or in other words, the mountaineous areas where education is in massively slow growth and people from these less educated areas (Majority of them Sunnis) become tools of exploitation in the hands of extremists like Osama bin Laden and other pseudo heroes of Islam. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.6.78.3 (talk) 00:40, 26 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

Parachinar population edit

I am currently seeking a reliable source with an accurate number for the population of Parachinar -- the 2017 census Kurram Agency blockwise summary listed the population as around 5,500 for "Parachinar T.C.", and the 1998 census listed the population as around 8,000 for "Parachinar T.C.". However, this 2017 news article describes Parachinar as a city with greater than 50,000 people and another 2017 article describes the population of Parachinar as around 75,000. (Both of these numbers are significantly greater than even the total urban population of Kurram Agency described by the 2017 census from the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics.) Multiple sources describe Parachinar as the largest settlement in FATA. The former name of Parachinar is apparently "Tutki" which is listed as a separate entry in the census report - I am unsure if the population of Parachinar is the combination of multiple entries in the report. Any help with this topic from other editors would be greatly appreciated.--Avg W (talk) 20:12, 10 April 2018 (UTC)Reply
