Found in Jamaica

This species of swallow tail has now been found in Jamaica an is now threatening the citrus industry. How can the spread of this butterfly be contained and eradicated from the island? 72.27.4.212 16:36, 20 December 2006 (UTC)

Why does this page feature a hatnote directing, "For other uses, see Lime (disambiguation)"? A search for "lime" would not bring one to this page, but in all likelihood to Lime; Lime (disambiguation) is a redirect to that page. Furthermore, the butterfly is not mentioned there. Dorsal view of Papilio demoleus, a species of swallowtail butterfly commonly found on citrus species. First described by Carl Linnaeus in 1758, this highly adaptable species is found throughout the world. P. demoleus is considered a pest owing to its habit of feeding on cultivated citrus species; caterpillars can completely defoliate young citrus trees (shorter than 2 feet (60 cm)) and devastate citrus nurseries.
