After reading the notability criteria for organizations, this tag should never have been added and should be removed. If more information on this, or of other details, is desired on the page, a more appropriate tag should be placed. All of this information is easily found online and as such the tag should be removed and/or replaced.

As a non-commercial organization, the Pander Society does not follow the same rules for notability, though the standard methods are quoted here to prove its notability.

Depth of Coverage: Members of the Pander Society have organized and participated in at least a hundred scientific meetings specific to Pander Society goals. Most of these are held in association with major, often international conferences run by independent organizations and the proceedings are published in international scientific journals and book series. A list of members, accomplishments, and associated publications is published annually and is on the linked web page. Additionally, changes and procedures associated with the Society are clearly shown/stated on the linked web page which is updated regularly.

Audience: The Society has hundreds of members from nearly everyone in its associated discipline around the world and is known internationally for doing so. Members frequently travel internationally to attend meetings around the globe. Non-members of the Society frequently attend Pander Society meetings because of the importance of the scientific data. Talks and a book focusing on the Pander Society and the 150 years since Pander wrote the first conodont paper have been produced by people not affiliated with the Pander Society. Publications related to the Pander Society, despite the informality of the Society, are published by many independent, major international journals and book series.

Independence of Sources: The Pander Society is frequently quoted by websites of international scientific organizations who work with them to hold joint meetings. They are included on website announcements and in the media releases of these independent international organizations (such as the Canadian Paleontology Conference, the North American Paleontology Conference, the Geological Society of America, The Micropaleontology Society, the International Geological Congress, UNESCO International Geological Correlation Programmes, the International Union of Geological Sciences, etc.). Proceedings and papers as stated above, are generally published. These proceedings are published by non-affiliated, internationally recognized scientific publishers instead of their own publishing company is further verification of their validity and notability.
