Suggested move edit

To be consistent with the other Pandanus articles, I suggest changing the title to Pandanus conoideus, the scientific name. Who agrees or disagrees? --UberScienceNerd Talk Contributions 20:34, 17 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

Source of names? edit

The article states that Papuans call it kuansu. I would like to know the source. This is not a Papuan type word - sounds more Asian. In Papua New Guinea there are over 800 languages - many of them in Papua. The lingua franca is Hiri Motu - and in common with most Austronesian languages, Motu does not have consonants adjacent to each other. The "ns" combination is never found in Motu - and I known of no other Papuan language that does. I grew up speaking Motu - and have never heard the word kuansu. If a source is not available, this should be removed. Ptilinopus (talk) 07:05, 3 August 2019 (UTC)Reply
