This accident was largely survivable. It is almost certain everyone survived the initial impact and was alive as the aircraft stopped. The majority moved to the front of the aircraft (the well-known tendency to exit the door entered) and packed in so that the inward opening door could not be opened.

These people died of smoke inhalation, spell that Cyanide Poisoning.
